The Beginning…
Having just returned from an entrepreneurial experience in Africa, Quentin d'Huart, founder and shareholder of the company, decided to approach the forestry market in 2014. It was while watching his father taking measurements in the forest and spending a considerable amount of time in front of a computer that he realised the need to bring innovative technologies to this traditional sector to make life easier.
In consultation with forestry experts and players in the timber industry, he was convinced that a sophisticated device could help them to concentrate on their passion, the forest, without all the administrative overload that this work entails.
He put together a team of Belgian engineers and designers to get this new project off the ground. It wasn't long before the first drawings were transformed into a real prototype: the TPM was born! In order to offer a complete range of products, the Timbtrack teams continued their development and created the EMC, the connected forestry metre.
At the same time, the Timbtrack forest management platform was born, enabling precise monitoring and sustainable management of rural assets. This software is the natural continuation of our tools. Today, Timbtrack is the Belgian leader in digital forest management tools
As software development requirements for new solutions became increasingly demanding, the company decided to improve its IT team and focus on software platforms and native applications, while integrating various existing solutions (RFID for wood traceability, satellite inventories, satellite health monitoring, iot fire risk detection, etc.).
